## What this file is

A downloadable record of two passes on one late-ship collision. The first pass averaged two clocks and briefed “about 75.” The second named the missing grain, opened both filters, and kept the handoff file. It is **not** a named-logo customer case, a vendor bake-off, or a Wikipedia / Gartner / Stanford / McKinsey / NIST / OWASP experiment.

## Four-step method (reproducible)

1. Bind a late-ship ask on a sanitized orders extract plus a sanitized WMS export (Warehouse West). Sanitize first.
2. Accept “force one number” as the control. Score three checks: missing grain named, both filters opened, handoff file kept.
3. Walk the same collision as a handoff: both tables → missing-object sentence → folder. Score the same three checks.
4. Keep both artifacts side by side. Stop if two of the three checks fail.

## Source and goal

| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Sources | Sanitized orders extract and sanitized WMS export, about 1,120 ship lines across two complete weeks in Warehouse West, plus a one-page note that tried to lock “late ship” (marketplace included on orders, excluded on WMS) |
| Standing question | Which warehouse drove the late-ship spike this week versus last week |
| Contrast | Force one number vs call the analyst |

## Results

| Retrieval state | Missing grain named | Both filters opened | Handoff file kept |
|---|---|---|---|
| Force one number | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Call the analyst | 1 | 1 | 1 |

Late ships on this run: 92 (orders) vs 61 (WMS). Marketplace orders were in one file only. Neither clock sentence was bound. The lead refused to brief a network shift.

Wall-clock for the successful pass: about 6 minutes (warehouse time excluded). The clock started when the operator opened both standing files and ended when the missing-object sentence and both tables sat in one folder.
