## What this file is

A downloadable record of a weekly contribution pack whose chart used a friendly contribution that included test accounts, while the CSV used the bound definition that excluded them—then a re-run that forced one definition, one SQL, and one chart. It is **not** a named-logo customer case, a vendor bake-off, or an Impala / StarRocks / Stanford / McKinsey experiment.

## Four-step method (reproducible)

1. Bind a weekly contribution goal on a read-only finance-adjacent source plus a one-page definition note locking “contribution” and “test account.” Sanitize first.
2. Request a Markdown memo, a PDF copy, two charts, and a CSV of SKUs over 8% versus plan.
3. Score three checks on the looks-complete folder: chart matches SQL, one predicate, CSV opens to SQL.
4. Re-run with “one definition, one SQL, one chart.” Score the same three checks.

## Source and goal

| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Sources | One weekly fact table, about 15,600 order lines, plus a one-page definition note locking “contribution” and “test account” |
| Standing goal | Weekly contribution versus plan, SKU grain, test accounts excluded, memo plus CSV plus SQL |
| Contrast | Looks-complete pack vs pack that opens to the stored SQL |

## Results

| Retrieval state | Chart matches SQL | One predicate | CSV opens to SQL |
|---|---|---|---|
| Looks-complete pack | 0 | 0 | 1 |
| Opens to stored SQL | 1 | 1 | 1 |

Wall-clock for the successful pack: 12 minutes (warehouse time excluded). The clock started when the operator opened the standing goal and ended when the chart, the CSV, and the SQL used one predicate.
