## What this file is

A downloadable record of forwarding a weekly exception chat to a controller, then opening the workspace folder that still held the memo, the CSV, and the test-account exclusion. It is **not** a named-logo customer case, a vendor bake-off, or a Grafana / Jaeger / Stanford / McKinsey experiment.

## Four-step method (reproducible)

1. Bind a weekly operations-adjacent goal on a read-only source plus a one-page definition note locking “exception” and “test account.” Sanitize first.
2. Request a Markdown memo, a PDF copy, two charts, and a CSV of SKUs that moved more than 8% versus plan.
3. Forward the last chat paragraph and a chart screenshot to a controller. Score three checks: exclusion stated, CSV openable, controller can audit.
4. Share the workspace folder with the same controller and score the same three checks. Keep first and second artifacts side by side.

## Source and goal

| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Sources | One weekly exception table, about 9,400 order lines, plus a one-page definition note locking “exception” and “test account” |
| Standing goal | Weekly exception memo: SKUs over 8% versus plan, with SQL and a sanitized CSV |
| Contrast | Forwarded Slack thread vs shared workspace folder |

## Results

| Retrieval state | Exclusion stated | CSV openable | Controller can audit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Forwarded Slack thread | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Shared workspace folder | 1 | 1 | 1 |

Wall-clock for the successful handoff: 9 minutes (warehouse time excluded). The clock started when the operator opened the standing goal and ended when the controller opened the memo, the CSV, and the SQL in one folder.

The forwarded thread omitted the test-account filter the SQL applied. The shared folder’s memo stated that filter. The controller’s re-total matched the memo, not the screenshot.
