## What this file is

A downloadable record of freezing a weekly contribution PDF whose prose omitted the test-account exclusion SQL applied, then regenerating so page one, the chart title, the CSV, and the SQL named the same filter. It is **not** a named-logo customer case, a vendor bake-off, or a Trino / Elastic / Stanford / McKinsey experiment.

## Four-step method (reproducible)

1. Bind a weekly contribution goal on a read-only finance-adjacent source plus a one-page definition note locking “contribution” and “test account.” Sanitize first.
2. Request a PDF copy, a Markdown memo, two charts, and a CSV of SKUs over 8% versus plan.
3. Score three checks on the brochure PDF: prose excludes tests, CSV excludes tests, totals match.
4. Re-run with “state the exclusion on page one and in the chart title.” Score the same three checks.

## Source and goal

| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Sources | One weekly fact table, about 16,800 order lines, plus a one-page definition note locking “contribution” and “test account” |
| Standing goal | Weekly contribution versus plan, SKU grain, test accounts excluded, PDF plus SQL plus exceptions CSV |
| Contrast | Brochure PDF vs PDF that wraps the trail |

## Results

| Retrieval state | PDF prose excludes tests | CSV excludes tests | Totals match |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brochure PDF | 0 | 1 | 0 |
| PDF wraps the trail | 1 | 1 | 1 |

Wall-clock for the successful pack: 13 minutes (warehouse time excluded). The clock started when the operator opened the standing goal and ended when page one, the chart title, the CSV, and the SQL named the same exclusion.
