# Independent reproduction protocol FVA-GM-20260831

**Published:** 2026-08-31
**Status:** Open protocol; no qualifying independent report received as of 2026-08-31

## Purpose

An unaffiliated finance practitioner can test a gross-margin variance decomposition on a separate authorized dataset.

## Procedure

1. Disclose identity, affiliation, compensation, conflicts, and data rights.
2. Publish source hashes, period, entity and SKU grain, cutoff, budget version, currencies, mappings, exclusions, and restatements.
3. Publish SQL or equivalent code and named join keys.
4. Recalculate price, volume, mix, mapping, and residual; prove that total rows reconcile to the reported movement.
5. Keep subcomponents separate from total drivers to avoid double counting.
6. Publish confirming and conflicting results, failed joins, limitations, and non-sensitive artifacts.

## Acceptance criteria

A qualifying report must be authored outside InfiniSynapse, disclose conflicts, use data independent of the private desk composite, expose reproducible calculations, and report deviations as well as matches. Running the first-party CSV script alone does not qualify.

Send a public report URL or documented contradiction to [zhuhl@infinisynapse.com](mailto:zhuhl@infinisynapse.com).
