## What this file is

A downloadable record of opening an ETL-first copy ticket versus authorizing a live Postgres store as the source. It is **not** a named-logo customer case, a vendor bake-off, or a PostgreSQL / Snowflake / OWASP experiment.

## Four-step method (reproducible)

1. Create a SELECT-only role. Confirm grants. Prefer a replica if the primary is busy.
2. Authorize host, port, and the role. Recall tables. Bind a note if a name is wrong.
3. Ask one goal: Q2 refund rate by channel, paid orders as the denominator, exclude test accounts.
4. Inspect SQL, filters, and the join. Re-ask after the note is corrected.

## Source and goal

| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Sources | Read-only Postgres; 14 order-related tables; ~2.1 million paid-order rows |
| Standing goal | Q2 refund rate by channel, paid orders as denominator, exclude test accounts |
| Contrast | ETL-first ticket vs live connect |

## Results

| Retrieval state | Read-only role authorized | Channel note bound | SQL + filter inspectable |
|---|---|---|---|
| ETL-first ticket | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Live connect | 1 | 1 | 1 |

Wall-clock for the successful live rerun: 10 minutes (warehouse time excluded). The clock started when the operator opened the standing goal and ended when the authorized role, the bound note, and the inspectable SQL sat side by side.

## What you may cite

- Artifact counts 0/0/0 → 1/1/1, 14 tables + ~2.1M paid-order rows on this run, ~10 min wall-clock, run ID

## What you may not claim

- Customer uplift %, a faster warehouse, official EEAT score, named-logo case, or that PostgreSQL / Snowflake / OWASP / DataCite / W3C / ISO / Gartner / WAIC scored this run
